LIFE IN PROGRESS

Every life is a story still being written.

A living collection of real journeys, honest chapters and meaningful change.

You do not have to wait until your life is perfect to have a story worth telling.

What is Life in Progress?

Some people are rebuilding after loss. Some are looking for work, learning a skill, raising families, starting businesses, recovering from setbacks or trying to find their purpose. Aelari wants to honor the chapter they are in today—not only the ending we hope to see.

With each person's permission, this project will share their own words about where they are now, what they hope to change, and what they are learning. They can return with dated updates as their lives progress. An unfinished story is still worthy of dignity, attention and care.

How the stories grow

  1. Chapter One — Where I Am: Introduce yourself in your own words. Share as much or as little as feels safe.
  2. My Turning Point: What has shaped your life? What challenges or opportunities brought you here?
  3. My Dream: What are you working toward, and why does it matter to you?
  4. My Next Step: Choose a realistic step. Readers can encourage you without taking control of your choices.
  5. Life Updates: Return in a week, a month or a year to add another dated chapter—progress, setbacks, changed goals and all.

A story belongs to its storyteller

You decide whether to contribute, what to share, and whether to use a first name, a pen name or an approved anonymous presentation. You can request corrections or removal. We will seek explicit permission before publishing stories, photos or identifying details. Submissions may be edited for clarity only with the storyteller's approval. No story is a condition of receiving support.

To protect participants, do not submit home addresses, phone numbers, financial account details, medical records, precise locations, or information identifying children. For minors, stories should not be published without a specially designed safeguarding and consent process. We will not publish unverified allegations or stories about another person's private experiences without appropriate permission.

Questions for your first chapter

  1. How would you like readers to know you?
  2. What does life look like for you right now?
  3. What experiences have shaped the way you see the world?
  4. What is one thing you wish others understood about your situation?
  5. What dream or goal would you like to move toward?
  6. What support, resources or opportunities would actually be useful?
  7. What lesson would you share with someone experiencing something similar?
  8. What would you like to look back on a year from now?

Become part of the project

We are preparing a secure way for storytellers to submit their chapters and return with updates. Until the submission and consent process is ready, this page is an introduction—not an open submission portal. You can contact Aelari to ask about participating at aelaridreamguardian@gmail.com. Please do not send sensitive details in an initial email.

Inspired by Breaking the Barrier: you are more than where you stand today. Your direction, your growth and your story matter.
